The 2015 Outstanding Security Performance Awards (the OSPAs)

The Outstanding Security Performance Awards (the OSPAs) have been held in Sydney during the 2015 Australian Security Industry Awards for Excellence (Run by ASIAL). 2015 was the first year of the OSPAs. The highly respected judges made awards in six different categories, and the awards evening was attended by leading security professionals from across Australia and provided a valuable opportunity for security associations and personnel to come together and celebrate industry achievements.

Outstanding In-House Security Manager
Grant Frankel

Grant is a Security Manager at the Melbourne Racing Club, who is responsible for the security operation for three racecourses which are home to over 75 race meetings a year, over 500 events, and see in excess of one million people through its doors. Grant has implemented numerous programs to provide a safe environment and enhanced customer experience.

Outstanding Security Training Initiative

AECOM Australia

AECOM have been successful in providing a full suite of services from Security Master Plan and Security Risk Assessments to complex design services. This method reinforces the significance of smart, effective and fit for future security design. As Security consultants they provide early involvement to positively influence and optimise the security design outcome. They have previously provided security consultancy for the Sydney International Convention Exhibition and Entertainment Precinct – SICEEP, the Crown Sydney Hotel Resort and a FIFA World Cup stadium.

SNP Security
SNP Security is a security services company that include security, transport services, traffic control, maintenance, concierge services, mobile patrols, customer service, K9 security, administration, special event security, cleaning, asset protection, crime prevention, training and more. They also engaged in an intensive working partnership with Qantas airlines to provide security services for Qantas’ freight business. SNP engaged with all key stakeholders, established trust with the client and ensured all relevant departments within SNP were aware of the Qantas guidelines to ensure the partnership’s success.
