Australian Security Industry Awards – 27 October 2021, Sydney

The vital frontline role performed by the security industry in safeguarding the community has been brought to the forefront during the COVID-19 pandemic. Security providers have demonstrated innovation, flexibility and resourcefulness in responding rapidly to changing customer needs.

To recognise the industry’s many achievements, on the 27th October 2021, security professionals from across the country will come together to celebrate excellence and outstanding acts of bravery at the 2021 Australian Security Awards Dinner – sponsored by TEAM Software.

Organised by the Australian Security Industry Association (ASIAL), the evening features three awards programs in one event, including:

• The Australian Security Industry Awards for Excellence – in their 25th year the awards recognise excellence, leadership and innovation;
• The Australian Security Medals – the 10th Australian Security Medals Foundation Awards honour outstanding individuals through awarding the Australian Security Medal of Valour for singular acts of bravery and Australian Security Medal for citizenship and leadership;
• The Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) – 6th OSPAs recognise companies, initiatives, partnerships, teams and individuals across the security sector.

Commenting on the launch of the 2021 Awards, ASIAL CEO Bryan de Caires said “The security industry is a dynamic and rapidly evolving industry. The Australian Security Industry Awards provides an opportunity to recognise the many individuals and organisations who are performing at the top of their game.”

Recognition doesn’t drive those people, but we know their quality and its meaning, and recognising them is important to us.”
